Yaw Asante

Black British actor currently living and working in New York City. Recent graduate from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York, and member of 2015-2016 Academy Company. Recipient of the Academy’s 2015 Jehlinger Award for acting.  Previous acting training at The BRIT School for Performing Arts in London, receiving various awards and accolades including the BRIT Acting Award, 2011.

Sen Enver
Sen found her passion for acting at the early age of 6 where she made her stage debut as Willy Wonka. Since then, she has performed at the London Coliseum with the English National Opera and Tower Theatre Company in London before moving to New York to train at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she played roles like Daphna in 'Bad Jews' and Sylvia in 'Tribes'. Sen is thrilled to be working with Mind The Gap Theatre on Brit Brits 9.

Anna Frankl-Duval

Anna Frankl-Duval is a native Londoner but considers herself a New Yorker.  Having made her professional debut with Mind The Gap after graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and CAP21, Anna is thrilled to be working with Paula and MTG once again. Some other career highlights on both sides of the Atlantic include: Originating the role of Brooke in How Will I Know, Chorus Leader in Agamemnon:Redux, narrating five children's books in the BooksARAlive - Meet The Animals series, and singing in the sold-out Edinburgh Fringe Festival run of Definitely. To keep up with this Brit in NYC follow @AFranklDuval or head over to

Billy Giacci *

(Elam) A New York City based actor, born and raised in Toledo, OH. After earning his bachelor's degree from Ohio University, Billy moved to NYC to study at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since moving to New York Billy has performed off-Broadway in Tom Stoppard's "The Real Inspector Hound", Steve Gooch's "Female Transport" and many others. His classical voice training has also given him the chance to play the lovable yet manic Jimmy Harper in the musical "Reefer Madness". Featured in 2015 BritBits 8's Proposal Update.

Jack Gilliat

Actor, filmmaker, producer in NYC. Founder and Artistic Director of Eye of a Fly Productions, Co-Artistic Director, Co-Founder at Whistleblower and Founder/CEO/Owner at Eye of a Fly Productions, Jack studied at American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Originally from Guisborough in northeast England, he now lives in New York City.

Declan Maloney Drummond

Born in Ireland and hailing from Sheffield, England, Declan began acting at 12 with Stagecoach Theatre School. He attended the Royal Conservatoire Youth Works in Glasgow, Scotland, which led to him appearing in Jack Thorne's award winning National Theatre Connections play Burying Your Brother in the Pavement. He went on to study for three years in Scotland before moving to London and taking part in Salomé with the Kensington Players. Declan is now in the New York Academy Company and looking forward to sharpening his skill set. 

Claire Sanderson *

Claire is a British actress and model living in New York City. With an award-winning First Class Honours Degree in Drama and Theatre from Liverpool Hope University, moved to NYC in 2010 to study Acting at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. She graduated in 2012 and has worked professionally ever since. Claire is gathering a number of theatre credits under her belt including Burying the Hatchet at the Snapple Theatre on Broadway and Odessa by the Sea at Manhattan Theatre Rep. Claire was featured in That Joke for Mind The Gap's famous BritBits 8 at VGrafLive. She was also cast in Madap Theatre Company's site-specific production of Othello in Brooklyn. Claire works every weekend at Trapped in a Room with a Zombie, eating 10-12 human brains per hour.

Jon Steiger

Jon is thrilled to be making his Mind The Gap Theatre debut. Jon is a New York based actor from Pearland, TX. A graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) Company, some of his theater credits include “Robin Hood: A New Musical” (world premier), “On Prosperity” (world premier), “The Little Dog Laughed,” “Romeo and Juliet,” “The Coast of Utopia: Salvage,” and “An Absolut Turkey,” Film: “The Good Neighbor”, “Experimenter,” “Chameleon Man,” “Mimic,” and “Dothead.” Upcoming projects include “Fear (web series)”, “12th grade or whatever” (web series), and “Crucifix Ridge” (feature film). Jon will also be returning to the Scranton Shakespeare Festival this summer in “Macbeth”, “Much Ado About Nothing”, and “A Tale For Winter” (world premier). You can also see Jon in “The Lion, The Which,and the Wardrobe” and “Shakespeare’s: The Bard for Kids” with the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company.

Hugo Trebels *
Co-producer / Director / Actor / Playwright
Hugo is thrilled to be working with Paula and Mind The Gap Theatre again on BritBits 9. Trained in Musical Theatre in The Netherlands and more recently a graduate of the Impulse Company, a Meisner based training conservatoire based in London. Recent acting roles include 'The Termite' in 'The Unutterable Things' & 'The Chinaman' in "Helmer Hardcore' both UK premieres. He appeared in BritBits 8 in two plays as well as making his debut as a director on two plays.  Hugo is extremely proud of the partnership of Mind The Gap Theatre and his production company You Blinked Productions. Their inaugural production was the one act play I.C.U., performed at The Producers Club. For BritBits 9 , Hugo is co-producer, actor in three plays, director of two plays and will be making his debut as a playwright. Constance Wookey

Constance studied with the National Youth Theatre, Rose Bruford, and Hull University, earning her BA while making her UK regional theater debut. She produced and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for three years, as founding member of two theater companies, and was delighted to graduate from The Academy with the Lawrence Langner Award for Voice & Speech. She’s worked in film as a Production Assistant while acting in independent features, landing a part in ABYSM with Charles Baker (Skinny Pete, Breaking Bad). She is grateful for the support from NY Academy faculty and staff, and for her bizarre family.
